Transformed from Zero to Cleaning Hero

If your cleaning biz is tough right now, I hope this encourages you.

 

Old John 22 years ago:

– Just quit my minimum wage job at the Marriott

– Barely doing $1k in sales a week (often less)

– Cleaned for $10 a room (no bait and switch)

– Scared whether or not I would make it in business

 

New John 6 years later:

– Wife quit her job and worked a few hours per week for me

– Doing $10k in sales a week (often more)

– Most expensive carpet, tile, and rug cleaner in town

– Took my family on fantastic vacations 6 – 8 weeks a year

 

What created such a change?

1. I knew I must take responsibility for my business, my thoughts, and my actions.

2. I studied marketing like a madman. I figured out what high-end homeowners wanted from a cleaning company.

3. I raised my prices to be the most expensive in town because we were well worth it. If I was going to stay in this business, I resolved that I was going to make money.

 

In case you need a push…or a pull…I thought I’d put this out there. My business and my life transformed within those years, but it did NOT happen by accident.

 

I made it happen, with help from mentors and the good Lord above. You can do it too!
