I’m going to give you many FREE and low-cost ways to market to cleaning clients during the winter.
Come up with a killer offer. Make these the BEST offers you give all year. NOT just a 20% off offer or 5 rooms for $99. Make an offer that will cross-sell more services so you get a higher job ticket.
Send postcards and newsletters to your clients. Rely on your current clients. Mail postcards and newsletters with your special offers.
Mail email newsletters to clients and prospects with special offers.
Use Facebook to connect with past clients and new clients. Offer a coupon or contest. Use your same killer winter offer on Facebook
Every Door Direct Mail. Target your best, ideal neighborhood for as little as 16 cents per home.
Put together a plan NOW. If you plan right, you can be just as busy in the winter, or like some of my clients, make January or February one of your best months of the year.
This is the perfect combo to help you with your regular offline and online marketing!
After you order the package, expect an email from us within one business day with the Social media for Cleaners log in.
If you’re interested in monthly coaching, graphic design done for you, and ongoing ads, see the Black Friday Special on Hitman’s Advertising Coaching Club here.
Since Black Friday is next week, I’m going to give you some ideas to get cleaning business coming in now. This is stuff you can use at the spur of the moment.
Black Friday is a perfect time to jump in the conversation already going on in the mind of your prospects. So why not take advantage?
First, come up with a killer offer. This is an offer that seems too good to be true in the eyes of the client.
WARNING: Make sure you’re still making money on this offer. When I say “killer offer,” I’m NOT suggesting you give huge discounts for no reason. If you give discounts, have a purpose in mind to make money from that discount.
Some examples:
Cross-sell your services. If you primarily do carpet cleaning, give away $50 in FREE tile cleaning with a $150 or more carpet cleaning purchase. This will lead the way for you to do MORE tile cleaning.
Run a special “Groupon” style offer now that is only good two weeks following Christmas. This is time that you’re likely to be slow, so giving away an incredible deal during weeks when sales are low can help keep your techs busy.
Give gifts or discounts when clients purchase high-dollar cleaning. When a client gets cleaning over $300 or $400, give away extras such as a FREE bottle of spot remover, FREE area rug cleaning, or a small dollar amount off.
Sell gift certificates. Since people are in the mood for gift buying, offer gift certificates for your cleaning service at a discounted rate.
How will you get the word out at the last minute about these Black Friday offers?
Facebook. Since it’s the most visited website in the world, your clients are on Facebook. You can post the special on your personal page, business fan page, and even create a Facebook ad announcing the specials.
Google Adwords. Show up instantly in the search engines announcing your Black Friday special. Adwords is great for doing this.
Craigslist. Normally I’m not a big fan of media that may make your company brand look cheap. But in the case of Black Friday specials, it is okay in my book. Announce your deal on Craigslist.
Email newsletter. Send an email to your entire client list announcing your special offer.
Make sure you include a start date and end date when your offer is good. Also include any other exclusions like “not valid with other offers” and “other exclusions may apply.” You want to give a killer offer without someone blatantly taking advantage of your generosity.
It’s the holiday season. Go make the most of it!
Keep watch for an email from me next week about a killer Black Friday offer I have for you!

I typed up these 7 tips for you if you need clients right away. The holidays are the easiest time to get clients.
You can get clients FREE or for little cost using Facebook.
#1: Ability to add more content: Content is one of the best ways to reach new customers. You can instantly post articles, stories, or short blurbs related to your cleaning business. This makes your Facebook page somewhat of a “living newsletter.”
#2: SEO improvement. Google and other search engines love when you have Facebook users interact with your business. Your Facebook page can show up in the top ten of Google (if you do it right) and it can help your website RANK HIGHER.
#3: Facebook coupons. This is cheaper and more effective than Val-pak and old coupon sources. We’re now using coupons on Facebook to get cleaning clients. When a user “Likes” your page, they automatically get the coupon.
#4: Use Facebook pay-per-click. You can set up ad campaigns for as little as $1 per day in Facebook’s ad section.
#5: A Billion Users and Growing: Currently, Facebook has slightly over a billion users, worldwide. This is solid proof that most of your local consumers are probably spending a lot of time on Facebook.
#6: Photos and videos. People LOVE photos and videos. In fact, I’ve tested my post interaction. Posts with photos or videos get more interaction every time.
#7: Facebook contests. This is great to get leads and more “Likes” on your page. When a user “Likes” your page, they’re automatically entered in your contest for a free $100 gift certificate or a free whole house cleaning.
